Do you know the best part about living in a single-family home? That personal patch of green (or brown, depending on the season) that waits eagerly at your backdoor. It’s like nature's blank canvas; I am an eager artist. Having conjured my Russian agricultural magic in Florida, where I charmed roses and whispered to fruit trees, my relocation to Virginia presented a new challenge, a fresh page. I've been prowling the new yard, visions of blossoms dancing in my head. Everywhere I look, I see potential: shadows that could use a dash of color, corners where quirky plants might whisper secrets. I’ve mapped out my grand gardening strategy, and be warned, even that odd patch of land that looks like it’s seen better days? Oh, it’s about to have its Renaissance. Nature, brace yourself. I'm rolling up my sleeves.
